Get To Know Me A Bit Better
Please Alllow Me To Introduce Myself
Hello! Since I am sure that you would like to know a little bit more about this stranger that wants you to hire her, I thought it would be a good idea to tell you a little bit about myself and how I came to be a virtual assistant.
My name is Amanda Eberhardt. I am 31 years old, and I was born and raised in Eastern Pennsylvania. I’ve always been a very driven individual, and when I wanted something I always went for it. When I was fifteen years old, I decided that I wanted to start saving for my first car. You do, however, need a job in order to make money, so I started working at a pharmacy within walking distance from my parent’s house. Although I had no idea at the time, this would be the start of my over fifteen year career working in pharmacy.
I started at the pharmacy as a cashier in the gift section, and then eventually made my way back into the retail pharmacy. Medication was always interesting to me, and I made it a point to learn as much as humanly possible, and to be the best pharmacy technician that I could be. I eventually obtained my certification, which I have had for ten years this year, and also moved into the Long Term Care Pharmacy Department.
I worked in Long Term Care for a few years, and eventually decided that it was time for a change. I proceeded to get a job at a compounding pharmacy. Compounding is unlike any other pharmacy field that exists. I was trained in the laboratory and learned how to make medications, and eventually started working in the customer service area doing prescription and formula input, organizing and scheduling the workflow, and providing excellent customer service to our clients.
Although I do enjoy my job, there has always been a part of me that yearns for more. I have always been a very free spirit, and always felt very confined having to work for someone else. I realized that I possess all of the skills and tools needed to start my own business, and I decided to pursue becoming a virtual assistant. I completed a Virtual Assistant Certification Program through Penn Foster in December of 2018, and have finally made my dream a reality.
In my spare time, I also volunteer with a dog rescue called Pibbles Paws Safe Haven in Bath, Pennsylvania. I am a huge advocate for animal rescue, and try to do my best to promote and spread the word about what can be done to help the animals. I also have four cats of my own, all of who have been rescued as well.
I hope that this blog gives you a little more insight into who I am, and I also hope that you will consider me for your virtual assistant needs. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this, and have a great day!
