What Can a Virtual Assistant do for You?

A lot of you are probably seeing posts about the new business that I started recently. A lot of you are probably also wondering, “What the heck is a virtual assistant Amanda?” A few years ago, I would have been wondering the same thing. I would like to tell you a little bit more about what a virtual assistant is, and what I can do to help your small business.

A virtual assistant is a person who works from a remote location, and provides services to your business as a independent contractor. There are many benefits that go along with hiring a virtual assistant versus an additional employee:

~You do not need to supply a virtual assistant with health insurance or any other type of benefits.

~You are only paying the virtual assistant what was agreed upon in a contract. This means that you are not paying an employee for forty hours of work when only twenty hours of work needs to be done.

~You also do not need to pay a virtual assistant for vacation, personal, or sick days as you would be for an employee. You will not be paying a virtual assistant to take breaks or lunches. You only pay a virtual assistant for the time they spend doing work for you.

~A virtual assistant has their own office area, so you do not need to provide space as you would for an employee to work at your business.

As you can see, hiring a virtual assistant can actually save you a lot of money. It doesn’t matter if you are just starting out or whether you’ve owned a small business for years. There are so many things to be done when you own your own business, and it is always a good idea to work smarter, not harder. Why not pay someone to take some of your workload so that you have more time to spend doing things that you enjoy?

Now that you have a better understanding of what a virtual assistant actually is, I would like to share some of the services that I offer. I offer the following administrative services:

~Information Organization: When you have a business, you have a lot of information to deal with. From finances to client information, there is a wealth of information that you need to keep track of, and often times, it can seem overwhelming. I can help you input the information, and also create an organized system to make things easier, so you know exactly where to go to find the information that you need. Once the system is in place, as you have information that needs to be added, you can forward it to me and I can input it for you so you don’t have to worry about it. I am great at organizing things, and I enjoy doing it, so I look forward to making things easier for you!

~Document Creation: The creative side of me has always really enjoyed dabbling in design. I can create various letters, brochures, or any other type of document that you may need using both Microsoft Office and Adobe. Creating new documents or templates can be time consuming, so why not have someone else do it for you?

~Miscellaneous Administrative Tasks: This is where things get a little more interesting. This is the part where you tell me what YOU need assistance with from day to day, and we can see if it is something I can assist you with. Other services that I may be able to assist with include: scheduling, e-mail management, sending out mailers, social media setup, research, etc. I truly do want to help make your life easier, so even it is an oddball request, please do not hesitate to ask! The worst thing that will happen is that I won’t be able to assist.

I hope I have helped better explain exactly what it is that I do, and if you have any questions or think that my services may be useful to you, please don't hesitate to e-mail me at aeberhardt@blueowlvirtualoffice.com. You can also contact me here: https://www.blueowlvirtualoffice.com/contact
